“The album ‘All Nights Out’ is out now, via their own Mothlight Records, and esteemed editor is already hailing it as one of those ‘album of the year’ things that everyone goes on about at this time of year.”
Around these parts, we have very little bad to say about Outside Royalty. Since they crashed on to these shores from Pittsburgh 3 years ago, they’ve been wowing audiences all over the country with their unique take on the indie-rock odyssey.

So I hear you all asking, “what’s their USP?”

Well I’ll tell you – alongside intelligent lyrics, fantastic melodic sensibilities and some gorgeous atmospherics on tracks like Lightbulb (Turning Off) & (Voice) Beneath The Rubble, they also have a classical bent, courtesy of their fully fledged violinist and cellist members. The album “All Nights Out” is out now, via their own Mothlight Records, and esteemed editor is already hailing it as one of those “album of the year” things that everyone goes on about at this time of year.

Favourable comparisons to the likes of Arcade Fire, Kings of Leon and Roxy Music are abounding too. The band are supporting The Cranberries on their comeback European Tour in early 2010, and we shall be watching them closely. Check them out at a stadium near you.
